Lady Charlotte Lindsay in Wroxton Abbey, nr. Banbury - 8 August, 1825, at night
from Letter from Lady Charlotte Lindsay to Mary Berry, 9 August 1825, page 363:
[Lady Lindsay begins her letter by recounting the large number of foreign guests currently staying with her]
[Y]esterday my brother got a letter recommending to his civilities the Comtesse de Korzchakoff (or some such name), with her two daughters, who are making a tour in England, and they arrived last night, and we amused them by making them dance, with the Greek professors, to the wretched scraping of three Banbury violins.
