Fifth Viscount Torrington in Winchester Cathedral - 25 August, 1782, in the morning

from Ride into the West, 1782, pages 79–80:

The service was more irregularly perform’d, than I ever remember to have heard it; and to a most shabby congregation, none but the Winchester boys, and a few wanderers being present; the belief after the communion service was chaunted to a tune, like God Save the King.
