Walked before dinner in a pretty park, and after went on the water. The effect of the coming storm on one side of the heavens, and the remains of sunset on the other, very fine.  […]  Lucy and I sung duets in the midst of all the lightning, coming home; tremendous flashes, and the carriage open.
