Gertrude Savile et al. in King's Theatre, Haymarket, London - 3 October, 1727

from Secret Comment: The Diaries of Gertrude Savile 1721-1757. Based on a transcript by Dorothy Hooper., page 66:

Diary entry “Tues.Oct.3.”

½ past 3 went with Aunt to the opera. Not to my taste, nor anything pleasing, but seeing the King and Queen who come in much more Grandeur than the last King chose to do.
