At the general rehearsal for the IMRS (I forced myself to get up early and go and listen to it) I much enjoyed hearing Tchaikovsky's First Symphony, which I hardly know at all. What a delight the first movement is! Borovsky, a fine pianist and fine musician, played the Korsakov Concerto. |
