Having an ear, and a pretty good voice, I had some claim to a sort of musical distinction, for when I was not more than five or six years old, I was set up on a seat in the meetinghouse, and sang the solo in Knapp’s 'Wedding Anthem,’ on the nuptials of some of my father’s acquaintance; and, as company songs, I sang the songs in pages 97 and 320.
