Edith Appleton in Étretat - 29 December, 1915

from Diary of Edith Appleton, 29 Dec. 1915, page 89:

We of the Roches were 'at home' for tea to a crowd - Matron, the CO, Captain Martyn, Captain Davidson, Mr Chaplin and Major Franklin - and then we gave a concert, which was got up by some of my patients and was not at all bad, then some of the sisters kindly sang for us.
