I was in Brussels, and at an age when all events seem to leave a permanent impression on you. Of course we were not expecting the Germans to invade Belgium, we were hoping they would respect our neutrality, so the invasion came as a very great shock to us all…
Then on Thursday the 20th of August, a date I will never forget, the Germans entered Brussels.
