Richard Temple Savage in Wimbledon
from A voice from the Pit: Reminiscences of an Orchestral Musician, page 12:
"Uncle Nutty", as I always knew him, often came with his flute to make music with my parent who were much given to piano duet. then obtainable in vast quantities in the green Peters edition - Mozart and Haydn symphonies, Handel organ concertos, and later Bach Brandenburg concertos. I was an only child but these sessions were often augmented by my uncles Jim and Ernest on the cello, my Aunt Dollie on the fiddle and Aunt Lulu who taught my mother and myself the piano.
