from Recent Music and Musicians, page 32:

On the morning of 30th of April, present at another rehearsal of the Interméde at the Hotel de Ville, under the direction of the composers, Boieldieu and Berton. Rigaud-Pallard and Boulanger, M.M. Bouchard and Huet, sang. Immense crowds of people and a host of carriages are moving about. Today is evidently the beginning of the grand festivities.
