Sergei Prokofiev in Saint Petersburg Conservatory - 30 November, 1912

from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 30 November 1912, page 245:

This morning there was a rehearsal of Maccabeus* with orchestra and singers. It went well, although I had to yell at them from time to time. Boryusya [Boris Zakharov] was there; the first time he had seen me conduct. He then played the Glazunov Concerto. Yes! That's Zakharov's playing all over, the same awful insincere emotion as always! Glazunov accompanied appallingly.
