We heard, first of all, in the theatre, one act of the 'Gazza Ladra,' with Caradori and Lablache, then Mendelssohn's 'G Minor Concerto,' played by himself with wonderful fire and delicacy, and last of all, Lablache, who had joined the party, gave his irresistible comic scene from the 'Prova d'un Opera Seria.' What a musical maw the English must have, to be able to digest such a quantity in one day!
