At the same festival Sullivan conducted his cantata, Kenilworth, in which a delightful duet, "How Sweet the Moonlight Sleeps" occurs. The renowned Italian conductor ruled with a rod of iron at Covent Garden and elsewhere, bringing much-needed discipline to bear on the orchestras of the time.
