Ignatz Moscheles in London - 1843

from Recent Music and Musicians, page 294:

Hallé, the pianist, has lately arrived from Paris. He is very fond of playing Chopin's music and brings with him, no doubt, the correct tradition of the Notturnos and Mazurkas. He is applauded also for his playing of other compositions.
