"Of the selected choruses we can speak with unqualified praise, the ' Hallelujah' especially, evidently creating a marked effect upon the audience. "To Sir George Elvey we are not only indebted for the successful conduct of a service more than ordinarily acceptable, but likewise for an accompaniment to Handel's masterpiece which we but rarely meet with."
