Baron von Bunsen in Glienicke/Nordbahn - October, 1827

from A Memoir of Baron Bunsen Volume 1, page 284:

Letter from Bunsen to his wife, Friday 19th October - At six o'clock began the Opera, in which I heard the far-famed Sontag. The music (' Joconde ') was too insignificant to enable me to form an opinion of the degree of her talent, but certain it is that she sings like a nightingale, and is very engaging.
