William Holland in Over Stowey - 2 March, 1800
from Paupers and pig killers / William Holland, page 27:
I was up early and Mr John Brice the Rector of Asholt breakfasted with me and I afterwards walked off to Asholt to put him in possession of the Church. Having inducted him I returned in good time for the Morning Service at my own Church. There was a tolerably full congregation and a vast number of Instrument Players among the Singers.
