in Royal Festival Hall - the 1950's

from Southbank Centre Archive:

As a child came to the R.F.H. with my parents to the Christmas ballet Nutcracker. The sound of the live orchestra with the colour of the costumes and stadgeing [staging] left a memory that won't be forgotten. As an adault [adult] I love the mixture of music and meeting people from different parts of the World "Come in and be open to all  that is offered in the events ["?], there are special moments!
