In the evening I attended the Koussevitzky concert, partly to hear the music and partly to see him, since on his last visit he had asked me to remind him about my Second Piano Concerto the next time he would be in the city, that is to say now. This was not a very enjoyable task, and in addition Koussevitzky was conducting himself this evening., so he was too busy for me to speak to him. Glazunov's Seventh Symphony is a piece I know well.
