Sergei Prokofiev in Saint Petersburg Conservatory - 2 November, 1913, in the morning

from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 2 November 1913, page 532:

In the presence of Lyapunov (St Serge, as Bushen calls him referring to his exceptional piety and the nobility of his countenance) and Tcherepnin, I played the orchestral piano for Shkarovskaya. She can play the Liszt concerto quite well, but is apt to go to pieces and puts on the most incredibly airs. She is the type of well-off, fairly pretty and extremely bumptious Odessa girl who says things like: 'Ooh, now, could we possibly just have a tiny, tiny ritenutochka on this wee notochka?'
