Sergei Prokofiev in Saint Petersburg Conservatory - 7 November, 1913
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries:7 November 1913, page 536:
The Scherzo from the symphony did not go very well, and according to Tcherepnin I was to blame. However, I was given high praise for the Finale, which I had studied intensively before the rehearsal. Cecilia arrived, and we made a very good job of rehearsing the Beethoven Violin Concerto, after which we had a nice talk.
