After the rehearsal I did not go straight home as there was a Requiem Mass for Anton Rubinstein and after that a rehearsal for the third performance of the Faust/Onegin programme, the one being done to piano accompaniment. After that I did go home, practised the piano for Moscow, had dinner, and went to the student concert in the company of Kokochka Shtember*, who called for me. The student concerts this year have not caught fire: they are not well attended, the programmes are short and generally have a somewhat drab character.
