in Royal Festival Hall - the 2000's
from Southbank Centre Archive:
My memory of the Royal Festival Hall was over 5 sets of Brian Wilson concerts which signified the "Lazarus like" re-emergence of Brian Wilson. First, there was the miracle of Brian Wilson performing "Pet Sounds" "live" on two Pet Sounds tours. Secondly, and even more miraculous was Brian Wilson finally performing the completed "SMILE" "live" as well. Those who were there will never forget the first and second nights of the first "SMILE" tour. I attended every concert on these tours in the UK. They will live in my mind for ever. It was a privilege to be their.
