An Institution, termed The New Musical Fund, gave their first benefit-concert at the King’s Theatre on the 12th of April, under the direction of Dr. Hayes and Dr. Miller, who, with a roll of parchment, beat time most unmercifully. Signor Rubinelli, Mr. Harrison, and Mrs. Billington sang on the occasion; and Cramer led the band, composed of two hundred performers, the whole of whom assisted gratuitously. The house was full.
