Sergei Prokofiev in Saint Petersburg Conservatory - 2 February, 1914, at night
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 2 February 1914, pages 594-595:
In the evening I went to the student concert. I don't know quite what it was that put me in such an excellent mood, because none of my 'Cabinet Ministers' were there (Bushen, Struve, Vegman), but I enjoyed being with Damskaya. Zelikman played the second and third movements of the Tchaikovsky concerto most imaginatively: he must surely be a candidate for the grand piano prize*.
