     I am greatly obliged to you for your kindness in connection with the words of “Morgan Jones”. I have made a transcript for myself and sent to the original to Dr Lloyd Williams.

     I sung the whole thing to my mater; it was to her mind most extraordinary to hear the whole of that ballad of which she had heard nothing for practically 70 years: and she could put her finger on several points in which the text differed from the way Dick Tywyll used to sing it with his left fist on his shoulder, and his head on his fist all to one side, “led about by another man as poor as himself”, in Carnarvon town away back in the 30’s.
