Nathan Milstein in Berlin - 1931
from From Russia to the West : the musical memoirs and reminiscences of Nathan Milstein, page 136:
The first time I heard Stravinsky’s violin concerto was in 1931 in Berlin, played by Dushkin. It might have been the premiere. I liked the composition very much and found the thought of playing it appealing. So when Dushkin’s exclusive rights to the concerto ended, I learned the work.
