This afternoon at Rutgers Church, during a space of four hours, Eugene lstomin and Donald Gramm recorded War Scenes and five others songs on Whitman texts for Desto label. The result is satisfying to the point of tears; I've heard no better performance of any of my music by anyone ever, nor can it - need it - be surpassed.
