Francis Thorne et al. in Nantucket - 17 June, 1981
from The Nantucket Diary of Ned Rorem 1973-1985, page 323:
At four Francis Thorne stopped by with score and tape of his Eternal Light, all aspects of which are imaginative and satisfying except for the not insignificant flaw (to me) that he sets words in Italian, a language not his own. Is it conceivable that an Italian would set English?
