Benjamin Britten in Lowestoft - 1 August, 1934
from Journeying boy : the diaries of the young Benjamin Britten 1928-1938, page 219:
Letters & listen to Act II of Oedipus Rex of Stravinsky. From what I could hear, this seems (From Rome, conducted by Casella) a remarkably impressive work, & highly original. I should like to hear & see it in full. A lovely show of De Falla's El Amor Brujo to end with.*
