Am at College from 10-1. Waiting for J. Ireland for 1 1/2 (10-11.30), & he eventually doesn't turn up. Very difficult aural training with Mr. Allchin, 12-1. Practise Pft 2-4. Tea at 51, & then go by bus to meet Floud near Queen's Hall (at a Lyons) at 7.0. Have a small meal at an A.B.C. & then go to very good Prom. "Enter Spring" (Bridge) marvellous - that man's a genius. "Sinf. Concert." W. Walton - quite good, but immature. Bax, Symph. 3. Lovely in pts; Very good. English Singers, excellent. Speak to Mrs. Alston afterwards
