I’ll never forget the golden sound of Persimfans’s first trumpet, Mikhail Tabakov. He was small and plump, and when he played he puffed up and turned red. But his horn’s song was radiant, glowing and at the same time tender. The other musicians of Persimfans were comparable artists.
