How delightfully have you described Dr Loftus's performance on the violincello! The Baron Back, Dr Grey of the Museum told me t'other day used to have great concerts in London at which he would always play the first fiddle though Giardini, Cramer, & la Motte, were in the band. - I love Boccherini, as I have told you before very - very much, but I think I shall live to make you eat your words about his pathetic being superior to Haydn's, whose fort you say is not pathos.
