Joseph Szigeti in Berlin - the 1910's
from With strings attached- Reminiscences and reflections, 2nd edition, enlarged, page 112:
In Berlin it was Sibelius who came to the artist’s room to embrace him [Ferrucio Busoni]- Sibelius, to whom he had dedicated a movement of his 'Geharnischte' Suite, composed at about the same time as the Violin Concerto. /Then there was the banquet in a private salon of the Café Henry, where these twenty or so, the wonderful inner nucleus of our audience (d’Annunzio among them), heard Busoni in his 'Fantasia contrappuntistica' before settling at the round table.
