Beth Britten et al. in Savoy Theatre - 29 November, 1932

from Journeying boy : the diaries of the young Benjamin Britten 1928-1938, page 123:

Beth & I meet Victor Clark at 6.30 at Savoy Theatre - have a meal - & (having queued for Pit) see Mikado.* A first rate show. The performance was excellent, tho' not perfectly perfect. Lytton was outstandingly funny. What heavenly shows these operas are!
