Benjamin Britten in London - 27 March, 1933

from Journeying boy : the diaries of the young Benjamin Britten 1928-1938, page 136:

After dinner listen to Amar Quart. playing Brahms C min* & Mozart F. (K.590). Efficient playing - that's all. Not superlative ensemble, tone balance, or to my mind interpretation. The Brahms was very stuffy. The Mozart was delicious after it - some of it they played well.
