Today the spotlight in New Orleans nightlife is Bourbon Street… Casually strolling in a nightery on Bourbon Street, with its elaborate front, well-stocked bar, and clean, roomy dancing floors, one finds it difficult to understand the music. In this particular outfit, the drummer appears to be the leader. He wants to play a piece all by himself, and he does. How the patrons of the place stand the racket is more than I can explain. No one can understand what the band is trying to play; but that doesn't worry the boys much; they think Hollywood is their next port of call.
