After dinner go with Mr & Mrs. B. to B.B.C. where he conducts an orch. concert. The orch is very tired and doesn't play too well. Smetana, B.B. ov.; F.B's lovely 'Lament'. Percy Hemming sings some songs (4 of F.B.), but is very out of voice. Long extract from Meistersinger, & Berlioz-Weber Introduction to Valse (splendid rhythm) & Hungarian March (not so good)
