After this I heard nothing until he came to London in the following June. He then gave some recitals, and accomplished his memorable feat of performing his own four pianoforte concertos at one sitting,which, as it took place on the anniversary of Waterloo, was generally supposed to be intended as a revenge for the defeat of the French in that immortal battle.
