The season of 1824 produced an unusually large compnayt of singers [...] The finest of these was [Madame Colbrun Rosini, was] long esteemed the finest in Italy, both as singer and actress. She is now married to Rossini, with whom she came hither, both being engaged on high terms, she to sing, and he to compose; but both disappointed expectation.
