One of the more cheerful aspects of our trip was visiting the Tivoli Gardens where, one very chilly May evening, we heard a big band playing old-style swing arrangements.  The playing was efficient rather than inspired, though that might have been the temperature.  We could see the notes emerging from the brass section in vapour form.
