Walter J.E. Elliott in Bexhill-on-Sea, Sussex - the 1890's, in the morning

from Untitled: Walter J.E. Elliott memoir, page 8:

[Walter Elliott’s Aunt Marm ran the Little Common sub post office, located in the Village Stores, which was owned and run by the author’s father, Richard Elliott]

I could mention lots of things about Aunt Marm […] [S]he joined the Salvation Army and in time became their Secretary. I remember one Easter Sunday morning she got up very early, walked two miles into Bexhill and joined in with the S.A. band which marched round the streets at six A.M. with the big drum banging singing Christians Awake salute the happy morn.
