I then ran back to Park Place, got some cold meat, and set off for the opera, and never saw a more striking sight. The Emperor of Russia, King of Prussia, and the Prince Regent came after the first dance, and were received with great applause, ‘God save the King’ was sung, every one standing up, the house as full as possible.
