Agnes and I went to Catalani’s, where was a party of thirty or forty; I think, except Mr. and Mrs. Trevor, Miss Tate, and ourselves, there was not another commoner in the room. While the music was going on, a supper was preparing below stairs, which we eat by the nose, each separate dish, and the whole together, in the room above.
