Mary Berry in Alderley, Cheshire - 7 December, 1823, in the afternoon

from Diary of Mary Berry, 7 December 1823, page 349:

At half-past two we went to church at Alderley, where there is an organ, and the service sung by the children as at a cathedral. A pew is constructed in the gallery for the family at the Park. In short, a little country church, quite differently arranged to any I have ever seen, and apparently to the satisfaction of the parishioners, for the congregation was very large.
