Hester Lynch Piozzi in Bath - between in the beginning of 1805 and in the middle of 1805
from Diary of Hester Lynch Piozzi, 23 January and 20 May 1805, page 1065:
23: Jan: 1805.] Tomorrow my but half recovered Husband & myself set out for Bath […]
Meanwhile I gave my Servts a Dance, & kept my Birthday with Beef & Pudding—tho’ I am not completely 64 years old till next Sunday 27: Jan: 1805.[*]
20: May 1805.] That Day we spent at Worcester, & I think the sound of the Abbey Chimes at Bath did me good: we both came home better than we went; Lord make us thankful.

*Although Hester Piozzi was born on 16 January 1741, eleven days were ‘lost’ when Britain changed from the ‘old style’ Julian calendar to the ‘new style’ Gregorian calendar in 1752.
