Tuesday 23 July, Dull depressing wet day. Agnes went down to Clydebank at night to see Jenny. I did not go out. Yankee soldiers beginning to appear in the streets to day. Saw the famous Zouave Band in the square today. Agnes home about 10.30 from Jenny quite cheery.
