Lord B., Scott, and I dined at the Pellegrino ; […] In the evening all went to the Opera together, and from thence at twelve o’clock to a sort of public-house, to drink hot punch; forming a strange contrast to a dirty cobbler, whom we saw in a nice room delicately eating ice.
