After dinner walked to the Opera through the rain: tried the pit first, but afterwards went to Lady Burghersh’s box, where I found her and Sir William Drummond. The opera, “Il Medico Ciabattino;” the music by Generale, who was the same that composed the “Baccanali di Roma,” which I liked so much at Venice.
