Felipe Martin de Villamil et al. in Paris - 28 February, 1821

from Diary of Thomas Moore, 28 February 1821, page 204:

[I]n the evening V[illamel] and I went to M. Portalis’, those pretty rooms looking very well by candlelight, and filled with very good company of both nations. Music by Pellegrin, Garcia, Madame Jidd, &c. Some church singing, accompanied by an instrument called the expressive organ, not very agreeable.
